How do I create my event?


Note: Some of the features below might not be available if you have signed up for a Free Billetto plan

When you create an event at Billetto, there are various steps to go through before you can publish it. It is therefore a good idea to have the information in place before you start.

You can always save your draft if you would like to continue at a later date. Additionally after you have published your event you are free to go back and edit these settings

Accessing the Create Event Page

From Desktop Computer:

  • On the Top bar of Billetto you will see the option "Create Event" in Orange

From Mobile Browser:

  • In the Top Right, is the Cog Icon. Click this and then click "Create Event"

From Mobile App:

  • Log into your account and Touch the picture in the bottom right, and press "Switch to Organiser"
  • Then click the blue "Plus" icon to create an event


Setting up an Event

  1. Login/Sign up Log in to Billetto first if you already have a user. If you are a new user, go to Billetto and click on Sign Up. Then enter your email twice and choose an password or sign in with Facebook/Google.
  2. Create Event Then click on create event, here you can choose the tier you wish your event to be in. More information found here.
  3. Event Name Next you will be able to make customisations, starting with your event name. It's good to have a headline that captures the event you are holding.
  4. Organised by: This input helps Ticket buyer's know who has arranged the event and who to go to if they need to get hold of you. 
  5. Event start date and time: This is your event's duration, If you want to hold multiple events we recommend using our recurring event system, click here)
  6. Address: Here you enter the address where the event is taking place. You can choose to search the location automatically, enter it manually or connect a venue. If you have already used us for past events and are using the same address for all your events, then you can benefit from connecting a venue as we store previous locations on your profile so you don't have to enter the address each time.
  7. Description: Write here a description of what the event is about. This is where you can catch potential interested parties so feel free to get creative. It is good to write a description that suits what customers can expect and any likely Frequently asked questions. You also have the option of inserting images or videos in the description
  8.  Event Type & Category: Here you select the Event Type and Category from a list. This is used for event discovery for ticket buyers.
  9. Tags: Here you can create additional tags that support your choice of category. Similar to a Social Media Hashtag.
  10. Choosing ticket type: Here you can choose the ticket type for your event. Once you have selected the ticket type, you can write an optional ticket name or leave the box as it is. Then you set the price for what it costs to participate in the event, unless you have chosen the free ticket type. Then you can also see what your guests have to pay in ticket fees or what you have to pay if you choose to include the ticket fee in your price. Make sure to enter a suitable max quantity of tickets sold to prevent overselling.
  11. Choosing an Image Banner: You can either choose to upload your own banner or use our intergration with Unsplash. You can search for a free banner to use for your event through their interface. When uploading your own image we recommend as high quality and eye catching as possible. Images 1900 width by 600 height in pixels or larger, and minimal wording is best suited as a banner as the Event name will appear over the banner.

Advanced Settings

This option is related to the choice of ticket type. Once you have created your ticket type, you can click on the small cog icon next to the ticket. Below is a list of the options


  • Sales start & end of sale: Here you can set when the current ticket type must go on sale, and when it should shut down the sale. So if you want to publish and publicly make your event before the sale starts, you can do this by setting this option on the ticket. (If this feature is not set correctly, your event will say no tickets available)
  • Tickets per Order: Here you can set a minimum and a maximum per order that the customers must or can buy. This way you can limit how many tickets per order the buyers can purchase.
  • Ticket fee: Here you choose whether the ticket fee will be added to the ticket price or whether it must be included in the ticket price. If it is added, it means that the Billetto fee will be ontop of the standard ticket price, and if it is included it means that the fee will come from the organiser revenue. When the ticket fee is included, this is deducted from your events turnover before the payment is made when the event is held. Additionally in the case of refunds the Billetto fee is always excluded.
  • VAT rate: Here you can choose whether to show on the buyer's receipt how much VAT is based on the ticket
