How to Create an Early Bird or Blind Bird Campaign

An Early Bird ticket is a discounted ticket offered for a limited time or quantity – a way to reward the first buyers. This helps drive early sales and engagement.

A Blind Bird ticket refers to the very first and cheapest ticket type, sold before the full program, line-up, or details are announced.

Follow the steps below to create a discount campaign on Billetto – either manually or using a template.

1. Log in to your Billetto account

Go to "My Billetto".
Click "Admin" next to the event you want to create the campaign for.

2. Go to the discounts and campaigns menu

Click "Promotion & Offers" in the menu on the left.
Then select "Campaigns".

From here, you can:

  • Click "Create Campaign" to make your own manually

  • Or choose the Early Bird template

3. Fill in campaign details

Name the campaign:

  • Give it an internal name (visible only to you)

  • Give it a name that will appear to ticket buyers (can be the same or different)

Set the campaign period: You have three options:

  • Days after publishing – choose how many days after publishing the campaign should start

  • Days before the event starts – choose how many days before the event it should start

  • Date – set specific start and end dates for when the campaign should be active

4. Choose discount type

You can choose between:

  • Set price per ticket type

  • Set discount as a percentage

  • Ad discount to ticket

*Note: If you have multiple ticket types with different prices, you’ll need to create a separate campaign for each.

5. Add any limitations (optional)

You can set:

  • Max Tickets per Order Eligible for Discount
  • Total Tickets Eligible for Discount

  • Max Orders Eligible for Discount

All fields can be left blank if you don’t want any limits.

6. Launch the campaign

Click "Next", then "Start Campaign".

7. Check the campaign on the ticket page

In the left-hand menu, under your event date, click "Visit".
Here you can see the event page as ticket buyers will see it, and confirm that the campaign displays correctly once it’s active.
