Ticket Packages

Ticket Packages

Ticket packages, or bundles, are a feature for event organizers looking to simplify ticket purchases for their attendees. Whether you're creating a family package or offering a combined dinner and show experience with split VAT rates, our bundle feature streamlines the process.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to leverage this functionality to enhance your event offering.

Examples of Ticket Packages

There are endless possibilities for your ticket bundles, but here's a couple of examples to spark your creativity

Family Package

A Family Package is an ideal solution for events aimed at families, allowing the purchase of tickets for the entire family in a single click. For instance, a family package might include 2 Adult tickets and 2 Child tickets at a discounted rate compared to purchasing each ticket individually. This not only offers value to the attendees but also encourages family attendance.

Dinner & Show with Split VAT

Events that combine a meal with entertainment, such as a dinner and a show, require handling different VAT rates for ticketing. This package allows you to offer a seamless purchase experience while maintaining compliance with VAT regulations.

Workshop Series Bundle

For events offering a series of workshops or sessions, a bundle can provide attendees the option to purchase access to multiple workshops at a discounted rate. This approach encourages participation across multiple sessions and simplifies registration for attendees.

Getting Started with Ticket Packages

  1. Ticket Type - In Event Creator In your event editor, find the "Create" button. Clicking it will reveal a dropdown menu with options, including "Create Tickets," "Create Group," and "Create Package." Select "Create Package" to begin the process of bundling your tickets.

  2. Configure Your Package: A ticket package allows you to create and group multiple ticket types into one clickable product for the buyer. This means that while the purchase shows as a single item, the receipt will detail multiple items, reflecting the diversity of your event's offerings. This setup is perfect for complex events, such as those offering a dinner and a show with different VAT rates (e.g., 6% for the show and 12% for dinner).

    • For Complex Offerings: You can include multiple tickets within the package with different VAT rates. For instance, if you're offering a dinner and show package, you can set the dinner part to not count towards inventory and the admission.
  3. Choose a Bundle Name and total capacity
  4. Create multiple tickets inside the bundle, by default a package will contain 2 item
    1. Price each ticket inside your package, select the VAT rate desired as you would for a normal ticket
    2. Choose if you to count the ticket towards inventory. This is recommended when choosing a Family package or similar to keep track of your total event capacity, otherwise if its something like a dinner and admission then you may wish to only count 1 of the tickets in the package By default, each item in the package will count towards your event's capacity, but if you're selling food/drinks or items that don't require entrance then select no.
    3. Choose if you want to Send a ticket pdf for each package item. This may not be needed if you dont need to scan each individual ticket (for example dinner and admission) By default, each item in the package includes a separate ticket with a barcode. However, you have the option to exclude this if needed.
    4. Once you've created all the tickets inside the bundle - check the total price and amount of tickets a bundle will count towards your event capacity and click Save
  5. Inventory and Limits: Each ticket within a bundle counts towards the event limit but not towards the bundle limit. For example, if you have a Family Bundle that includes tickets for 2 Adults and 2 Children, and the bundle has a maximum purchase limit of 20, attendees can purchase up to 20 of these bundles, and 80 tickets will be used in the inventory for total event capacity.

  6. Receipt and VAT Split: The ticket receipt will clearly show each ticket within the package, detailing its respective VAT rate and price contribution, ensuring transparency and compliance with tax requirements.

Additional Features for Enhanced Flexibility

  • Addon Bundles: You can also create addon bundles, adding even more flexibility to how you package your tickets

  • Hidden Tickets within Bundles: Tickets included within a bundle will generally be hidden and only available as part of the bundle, ensuring a clean and straightforward purchasing experience for your attendees.

  • Interaction with Group Tickets: Bundles can be found within a group, and tickets within the bundle will behave just like any other ticket, maintaining consistency and ease of management.

Creating ticket packages is a powerful way to offer more value to your attendees while simplifying the purchasing process. Whether you’re catering to families or offering a unique combination of experiences like dinner and a show with different VAT rates, bundles can enhance your event’s appeal and streamline operations.
