The Swap Tickets feature lets organisers move, upgrade or downgrade a ticket within the same event or to another event. This is handy if the ticket buyer can't attend the original event or wants to change their ticket type (e.g., upgrade to a VIP ticket).
Please note that any price differences must be managed outside of Billetto.
Steps to Swap Tickets:
- Access Manage Tickets:
- Go to your event's dashboard and navigate to Manage Tickets.
- Select the Ticket to Swap:
- Find the ticket you wish to swap.
- Click on the action dropdown next to the ticket.
- Select Swap Ticket.
- Choose the Event:
- Decide if you want to swap the ticket within the same event or to a different event.
- If choosing another event, you'll first need to select which event.
- Select the New Ticket Type:
- Choose the ticket type to swap to.
- Review the price difference that will be displayed.
- Handle the Price Difference:
- You’ll see a warning about the price difference.
- Confirm the swap.
You will now see the ticket on the new event, the ticket buyer will receive an email informing of the new event and/or ticket type. The old ticket will be cancelled, freeing up that inventory for a new sale and you will see a link to the new ticket in our interface.
Managing Price Differences:
- If the new ticket is more expensive:
- Advise the ticket buyer to pay the difference through systems like MobilePay, Swish, or Vipps to your company.
- Alternatively, they can pay the difference at the door.
- If the new ticket is cheaper:
- Refund the ticket buyer the difference through your chosen payment method outside of Billetto.
