How do I create and use audience (target groups) for my membership event?

If you have a membership event where you would like to give members the opportunity to get a discount or a free ticket to another event, you can do this using dynamic audiences.


You can link the audience to a campaign at your current event, and allow only members to use the discounts, as well as control how many tickets each member can get at a discounted rate (or for free):

  • Go to Promote in the top bar;
  • Select Audiences;
  • Select or create a Dynamic audience;
  • Enter the name of the target group;
  • Select & find membership event;
  • Click Save;

 


An audience has now been created for that membership event. Now you need to associate the target audience with a campaign at the desired event.

  • Go to My events;
  • Click Manage;
  • Click Campaigns and Promotions;
  • Click Create campaign;
  • Enter the name of the campaign (ticket buyers won't see this);
  • Enter the public campaign name;
  • Select the Audience in the condition type and select the created audience;
  • Click Next;
  • Now select the desired effect;
  • Select the type of ticket to be applied;
  • Categories you can omit;
  • Select the Assign audience member code as a barcode ;
  • This way members just have to enter the barcode on their membership to redeem the discount;
  • Set the maximum number of tickets per order/member.
  • Fill in the rest if needed and click Next to start the campaign.

You can now test the campaign to make sure it works as intended and then the campaign is ready!
