If you're setting up gift cards for the first time, follow these steps to get started:
-
Welcome Page
When you navigate to the gift card section, you'll see a welcome page. Click the blue button in the center to connect your Billetto account to GiftUp, the third-party platform we use for gift cards. -
Accept Terms & Conditions
You will be prompted to review and accept the terms and conditions. Click "Yes" to proceed. -
Account Creation
Once you accept the terms, a GiftUp account will be created for you automatically in the background. The page will then update, taking you to your gift card control panel, where you can start creating and managing gift cards. -
Confirmation Email & Password Setup
Simultaneously, you will receive a welcome email from GiftUp in your inbox. This email contains a link to complete your account registration. Follow the link to set up a password for your GiftUp account. -
Accessing Your GiftUp Dashboard
After completing the setup, you can access your GiftUp dashboard in two ways:- By clicking the link in the welcome email
- By selecting Visit your GiftUp dashboard at the top of the Billetto page
Your GiftUp account is now ready to use, and you can start managing gift cards right away!
Creating Gift Cards for Sale
Once the setup is complete, you can create and manage gift cards directly from Billetto.
To add a gift card for customers to purchase—whether on your public organizer profile or via the widget on your own website—click Add New Gift Card for Sale.
Gift Card Types
There are two types of gift cards you can create:
- Fixed price gift card – You set a fixed value for the gift card.
- Customer can choose gift card value– You set a minimum and maximum value, allowing the customer to choose the amount within that range.
After selecting the type, give the gift card a name and description. This information will be displayed on the gift card when sold. Click Save to finalize the creation.
You can repeat this process to create multiple gift cards for sale. All active gift cards will be listed on the page.
Note: The currency setting is determined by you. When a GiftUp account is created, it automatically uses the currency you select in your GiftUp account settings, which is linked to your Billetto account.
For example, if a user has selected Danish Krone (DKK) as their currency on Billetto.co.uk and activates gift cards, their GiftUp account will be set to DKK as the default currency, and this will be the currency displayed on the gift cards.
.
Managing Gift Cards
- Gift cards are automatically set to expire after 36 months (3 years).
- To edit an existing gift card, click the pencil/edit icon.
- To remove a gift card, click the trash bin icon.
Once created, your gift cards are available for purchase, and you can manage them anytime from within Billetto.
Below you’ll find the “Gift Card Images” section.
Here, you can upload images that buyers can choose from when purchasing a gift card. To add an image, click “Click to upload”.
If you want to remove an image, you can do so at any time. However, there must always be at least one image available, so the last remaining image cannot be deleted.

At the bottom, you will see three summary cards displayed:
- Total value of gift cards sold – The total monetary value of all gift cards sold.
- Remaining value of gift cards – The total unused balance across all issued gift cards.
- Gift card sales & redemption status – The total number of gift cards sold and the number of gift cards that are still redeemable (i.e., not used or only partially used).
Selling Gift Cards on Your Own Website
You can sell gift cards directly from your own website using the gift card widget

Selling Gift Cards
You don’t need to install a widget on your website to sell gift cards—they are automatically available for purchase on your public organizer profile on Billetto.
On your profile page, gift cards are listed under a dedicated Gift Cards tab, alongside Tickets and Memberships (if applicable).
Buyers can view and purchase gift cards directly from this page without needing to log in. They will see all the gift cards you have created and made available for sale.
Here is an overview of the purchase flow process when a ticket buyer purchases a gift card:
The ticket buyer selects the gift card and proceeds directly to payment.
If the ticket buyer has a gift card they wish to redeem, they will be able to enter the gift card code after selecting their desired tickets in order to redeem it
Go to Manage at the account level, click Sales, and then Gift Cards – this will give you an overview of all gift cards
